Zojirushi NHS-18 10-Cup (Uncooked) Rice Cooker
Stainless steel steaming tray and automatic keep warm function included.Busy cooks cherish rice cookers. This is Zojirrushi’s largest, suitable for cooking up to 10 cups of dry rice (white or brown) and keeping it warm up to five hours. A separate tray steams seafood and vegetables, cooks hard- or soft-boiled eggs, and even makes tender custards. Instructions and a cooking chart explain everything. A measuring cup and serving spatula are included. A glass lid permits monitoring of the cooking process. The cooker/steamer operates with admirable simplicity: just push a switch to start. The switch and a light turn off when cooking is completed, and the unit automatically goes into its keep-warm mode. Stay-cool handles on the cooker/steamer’s sides permit it to be moved. Only plastic scrubbers and mild detergent should be used for cleaning. –Fred Brack

The Best Rice Cooker for over 25 years! I purchased my first Zojirushi rice cooker over 25 years ago while station in Japan. The cooker worked unfailingly for over 25 years until this year. As I searched for a replacement – reviewing the multitude of complex rice cookers – I realized what I wanted was the same cooker I had. This is the model! I wanted it to cook rice correctly in an timely manner.I’m not a rice connoisseur…the Japanese take it to an art form, so maybe the more complex machines result in a better dining…
A simple no-frill rice cooker I love this rice cooker. It’s simple, straight-forward, and does the job of making rice. We were given one of those fancy rice cooker with 10 different buttons, which I now only use to make porridge. We don’t want to wait 45 minutes for our rice. We reverted back to using our hand-me-down 6-cup National brand rice cooker. It functions fine, but I was tired of looking at that huge thing on my counter when the most we cook is 3 cups. The size of this rice cooker is about the same as a 1.5…

As long as the lid is seated properly (not floating on water or a stray rice…
